The weeks prior to the 2021 NFL draft brought a lot of buzz, with many teams considering biting the bullet to enter into the top 10 picks. The hype did NOT disappoint! An average of 6.1 million viewers tuned in to see who their team picked. On account of numerous top prospects selecting to opt-out of the 2020 college football season due to COVID-19, the draft became uncertain as ever. The unusual circumstances led many teams altering the way they do business. The strategy of those who made the business decisions for the Carolina Panthers was to trade back and collect more picks. The front office was persuasive all night, which led to the most drafted players in franchise history. By drafting 11 players in one draft, the hope is that they got a few steals with the later round picks. As eyes transition from the draft to training camp, the Panthers fanbase should be excited for the talent on the roster. Maybe a playoff season is in the future if this draft class exceeds expectations.
